Welcome to Blood Bikes Wales website. I hope you enjoy using the site and find all the information you are looking for.

Over the last year we have seen significant growth in our membership and our service, we have achieved our aim of becoming a national charity organisation, providing our free service to the health boards across Wales.

We cover the whole of the country providing a professional high quality service to these health boards. We have received numerous thank you letters from NHS departments and staff along with other national charities who we are now providing a vital service to by supporting their cancer patients and ensuring their blood samples can be dealt with more efficiently.

Our goal is to develop and maintain our professional “out of hours” service, to help the overstretched NHS in Wales. Along with an interim “in hours” enhancement service to them and other charity partners, who need our service. Which is quite a challenge given that we are a charity and rely solely on the generosity of the public, our members and businesses in Wales.

We’re continually seeking ways to improve the charity, be it the service we provide, a new way to fund raise or how we care for our members. Any suggestions or ideas you have are welcome.

For us to provide this service we need you! Whatever your talents, whether you ride a bike or not.  We hold monthly meetings across the country and you are welcome to join us and be part of something really special.

So click on the “JOIN US” link at the top of this page, follow us on Facebook or Twitter and keep an eye out for us on the road.

This little girl recently featured in my Bloodbikes Awareness Talk, what a lovely surprise to see this photo on Twitter. It had to be added to the presentation. The story behind the picture is even more heartwarming.
