Welcome to Blood Bikes Wales website. I hope you enjoy using the site and find all the information you are looking for.

Over the last year we have seen significant growth in our membership and our service, we have achieved our aim of becoming a national charity organisation, providing our free service to the health boards across Wales.

We cover the whole of the country providing a professional high quality service to these health boards. We have received numerous thank you letters from NHS departments and staff along with other national charities who we are now providing a vital service to by supporting their cancer patients and ensuring their blood samples can be dealt with more efficiently.

Our goal is to develop and maintain our professional “out of hours” service, to help the overstretched NHS in Wales. Along with an interim “in hours” enhancement service to them and other charity partners, who need our service. Which is quite a challenge given that we are a charity and rely solely on the generosity of the public, our members and businesses in Wales.

We’re continually seeking ways to improve the charity, be it the service we provide, a new way to fund raise or how we care for our members. Any suggestions or ideas you have are welcome.

For us to provide this service we need you! Whatever your talents, whether you ride a bike or not.  We hold monthly meetings across the country and you are welcome to join us and be part of something really special.

So click on the “JOIN US” link at the top of this page, follow us on Facebook or Twitter and keep an eye out for us on the road.

Blood Bikes Wales

Morning all
Paul Kennedy and I gave a presentation on Monday last to the League of Friends for Colwyn Bay hospital. A small group of about twenty people who raise funds through selling cards and cream teas just to mention a couple of things.
It was their AGM and I must say the cakes were lovely.
Later that week I received an email from one of the ladies on the committee to say thanks for attending, the presentation was really informative, could I please let her know how she could become a volunteer for Blood Bikes and that after Paul and I had left a vote was taken and the group unanimously agreed to support half the cost of a new bike.
To say that I'm blown away by their generosity is an understatement and thankyou doesn't go far enough.

Wow, amazing!

That is fabulous. The Blood Bikes get far less publicity that all the other people who volunteer their services to the NHS and CBH League Of Friends is to be very much thanked for their generosity.

Well done to you both! I guess it just shows you never know what return you can expect for putting yourself out like that. 👍

That's great news, well done with presentation and many many thanks to League Of Friends.

Can I urge anyone looking to support our charity with a donation to complete a Gift Aid form? A donation with a properly completed Gift Aid form will be 25% more valuable to us, thanks to HMRC. It will not cost you, the donor, any more than a minute to complete the form. assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/467898/Ch... ...
